New Counter
The new counter in the upper right corner of this site is counting down to December 31, 2010 at 4:35 PM CST, which is when I will turn 28 years old…
Why is this important?
After I graduated college in December of 2005, I set the goal for myself of having a personal net worth of over $1 million by the time I turn 28.
That was just over 5 years away at the time and I now have 996 days left (~2.73 years).
I have made great progress since I started, but I still need to earn a lot more money to reach that point. Especially if I keep spending $500+ per month on alcohol and cigars. :)

Salvatore Bonanno 1932 - 2008
I just found out a few minutes ago that Salvatore “Bill” Bonanno died on January 1st. Bill was the son of Giuseppe “Joseph” Bonanno, who was one of the heads of the original Five Families of the “Mafia” Commission of New York. Joe and Bill were the real life Vito and Michael Corleone. Many of the most important parts of the novel and movie The Godfather were actually inspired by the actions of the real life Bonanno Family.
Bill’s visitation will be tomorrow and his funeral will be on Monday. Then he will be interned near his father in Holy Hope Cemetery in Tucson, AZ.

I’m going to have to drink some Strega and smoke a good cigar tonight in honor of Salvatore Bonanno.
Update…
I am planning on making another attempt at updating this more often. I would like to a couple times per week. I certainly have enough I would like to write about … just don’t seem to have the time.
I am planning on writing a full 2007 review in a few days, because it has been a great year. Years and years of hard work have really started to pay off.
One year ago today from the exact same place I am sitting right now, I posted my ideas for what I wanted Hill Seven to be. I have learned a lot since then though and the concept has changed quite a bit, mainly from my success with StockWeblog.com.
So GolfGameNews.com will be my big test. If I can teach everything I have learned to Grant and he can create a successful site with my techniques, then by this time next year I might have as many as a dozen people running different niche sites and making good money for themselves.
